“let's face it - Jones Hall is not a good venue for anything”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

I have been to the Houston Symphony many times as I love classical music. And also to other events at this venue. I don't recall a single one that was outstanding. Is this really because there were none? Or perhaps is Jones Hall just not what it should be? It is stark and the sound is not compelling anywhere. I have sat up close and far away, on the left, right and center. It makes little difference. A concert in a smaller venue with average musicians and an inspiring soloist will be much more enjoyable at a fraction of the cost.

“Houston Pops is the best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

The Christmas Pops concert held here is awesome. I don't understand why it isn't sold out every year for a month. The space is great for it because there are no bad seats in the venue. You can see from everywhere.

“Saw Wicked Divas last night!”

We sat on the front row. The music was beautiful! The seat comfortable and the crowd was respectful. Jones Hall is very pretty, too.

“Don't Get seat in the Balcony”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2012

6/5/2012 Went to Jones Hall for the musical Fela. I can't remember the last time I have been to Jones Hall but I tell you next time I WILL NOT get balcony seats. The screens they had below were not large enough. There were late seating(which I never heard of in any type of musical or play), then they did not start on time. The venue is very nice. I will go ahead for an event just kow what to look for next time.

“Excellent venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2012

Great A/C. A bit of a walk if you're disabled. Great parking available. There is an elevator but it doesn't go all the way to the top level seats. Seats very comfortable. Usually sit in the middle so I can always see but looks like the seats more to the sides would also be good. No obstructed view-type seats. Beautiful building.
