We ate here last night for my daughter's 14th birthday. We usually choose the "other" churrascaria restaurant on Westheimer but have heard wonderful things about Pradaria and decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did! Not only did we have a better service experience but the food was better AND at almost half the cost!
The servers here are not dressed in the traditional "gaucho" style but instead these servers are friendly, helpful and totally add to your eating experience. The last time we ate at, rhymes with "mogo fe cow", we were rushed, servers either passed us up or they rushed our table. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes - I kid you not! PLUS, we paid $300 for our family of 4! At Pradaria, we were able to take our time, enjoy the rodizio experience, and savor every delicious bite!
The salad bar has lots of options! Several different types of cold appetizers, meats, cheeses, different types of salads, pasta, etc. Then there are the hot dishes! Rice, beans, the best mashed potatoes ever, Chicken Stroganoff, fried polenta, etc.
Then, the feast begins! We loved everything that came around! The bacon wrapped filet, parmesan crusted pork (YUMMMY), lamb (the most tender, flavorful lamb), sausage, bacon wrapped chicken, bottom sirloin, skirt steak and other items that I just can't remember but everything was so delicious!
We did not have room for dessert but DO try the pineapple that comes around on the skewer. It is every bit as satifying as a dessert! It is served piping hot and with a carmelized outer edge that just makes the fruit just melt in your mouth! Also, DO try the "Cocktail Lemonade." It is fresh lemonade with red wine and a lime squeeze. Lemonade Sangria! So refreshing and light - perfect for such a heavy meal.
This time, we had 5 people and our bill was well under $200! We WILL be back!
