I enjoyed attending a conference at the George R. Brown Convention Center in February 2014. It was easy locating meeting halls, restrooms, etc. In contrast to other conventions, the rooms seemed spacious and more accessible. It was very clean and well equipped. There is also a park in front of the convention center. The center's website noted free wi-fi in all public areas. That was not the case. It was $12 or $13 per day. There is a Starbucks on the 2nd floor and other places to eat nearby, such as if you walk straight ahead through the park, the Shops at Houston Center has a food court with an awesome variety of options (on the 2nd or 3rd floor).

Nice convention center, big halls, nice meeting rooms, and decent concessions. The big complaint was a lack of parking.

It is huge!!!!!! This is the cleanest convention center I have ever seen. It is designed to look like a cruise ship and well maintained. The expo for the marathon was well run. I havent been there for any other event.

So, a rather strange title but I know that women at least will appreciate the attention given to the restrooms and the fact that they were always clean and well-stocked.

Our convention experience at the GRB CC was great. Rooms were well maintained and well ventilated. Set ups were just right, roomy even, for our group of ~1,000.

I go to many of the gun shows at this Convention Center. This time was just like all the others. You get there and wait a while (if you arrive before opening). They usually start selling tickets around 8:30am - with the show opening at 9am.

I did attempt to find out which hall the show was going to be in the day before (on the Friday). I looked at the gun show's website, as well as the convention center's official website. Unfortunately, that information was not posted - it only showed info on the event itself - not where in the center it was.

But, it's not that hard to walk past them 1 by 1 until ya find it.

The center is always clean, and its easy to locate parking with all the lots surrounding the convention center. Another benefit of arriving right before the show starts is that parking is much easier to find.
