Quit reading and just go! My husband and I had dinner here last night and it was great! The drinks and food were great prices - we couldn't believe how much we got for so little. Try the black orchid champagne cocktail - absolutely the perfect cocktail for sushi!
As apps we had the shrimp shumai and edamame, both tasty. The edamame were not overcooked and tough, which we have found to be the case at other sushi places nearby. We split sashimi and rolls, choosing the Cowboy roll, Rainbow Roll, Sashimi A (tuna, salmon & white fish - escolar), and I ordered a few pieces of nigiri sushi - crab, shrimp and whole scallop.
The scallop was by far my favorite thing of the meal - it literally melted in my mouth and there was just a small ball of rice so as not to overwhelm the taste of the fish. My husband loved the Cowboy roll, although I think next time he'll order it without the roe on top (he's just not a fan of that texture). We both loved the Rainbow roll, it was so full of fresh fish and fluffy rice - it was perfect! The sashimi was just enough for two people, and the pacing of our dishes was perfect that it came out almost like a second appetizer before we received the sushi we ordered that had rice in it. Delicious!
We will definitely be back here if not for the food, but for the friendly service and lovely atmosphere. There was a pianist playing that absolutely just made our meal a stand out! :) Cheers!
