“Pork chop lunch!”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

Get here for the Friday pork chop lunch, you will NOT be disappointed. Tastiest pork I have ever had from a non-barbeque restaurant, for sure. These folks do everything right, all menu items are excellent, but this pork chop (or should I say rack of chops) is the bomb.

“Almost a perfect experience...”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

Went there with work colleagues after a long day in the office. Place was very crowded and very noisy. Intimate, quiet, pleasant conversational dinner was not in the making. The place is beautifully decorated with may wine-cellar/storage cabinets blended into the environment of the up-scale restaurant.

We waited in the very-noisy and crowded bar area for about 15-20 minutes (even though we had reservations). Afterwards, finally got to our seats. However, the seating in the booth that we had was terrible - you sank so far into the cushion that the table-top was far too high to be comfortable. We asked about sitting at a table, but none were available (might want to specify that in your reservation if this is an issue with you...)

The menu is varied and almost everything is ala carte. As expected in a high-end Houston steakhouse, prices are high.

The filets were good (mine was the signature filet with crabmeat and bleu cheese - great taste combination - however was a bit under-cooked and not as tender as I hoped) and a co-worker's snapper was dry (mgmt addressed that issue promptly). However, the lamb chops and another filet from other's meals in our party were excellent.

Wine list is extensive with good selections across the board. Dessert was also excellent (crème brulee').

Would go back, but with specifics on where and when....

“New Year's Eve”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Had a great meal here NYE with family and friends. Shrimp cocktail, Cesar Salad, pork chop and "trio of delights" for dessert. Again, as in previous NYE visits here, the pork chop was the largest I have ever seen served in a restaurant and was perfectly done! Highly recommend this place.

“Best Birthday Lunch Ever”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

We went to Perrys on cypresswood Dec. 20th,2013...When we arrived at our reservation time, we were seated in the wine tower. (a private room).. After being seated, Mr. Josh Boltz, the general manager came in and welcome us. We were treated like royalty. The food was delicious. We had the famous pork chop, and steak. The steak was so tender, you didn't even need a knife. We had a very good server, Meagan. She was there when we needed anything...It was me, my husband, our daughter, and 2 of our grandchildren, and one of their friends. They were impressed from the time they were seated until we left...Mr. Boltz came in personally and fixed the children the famous banana fosters. It was a Birthday i will never forget, and i would like to thank Mr. Boltz again for the special attention he gave me....

“Holiday Overload”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

They apparently have just too much holiday business. Our table of six could not communicate across the table and sometimes even side-by-side, because it was so noisy. It was so crowded that servers kept bumping into the backs of our chairs - annoying. The food server delivered two of the first three dishes to the wrong parties. Two of us ordered the 8 oz. filet; both were overcooked. Perry's is too expensive for that kind of experience.
