It has been highlighted by multiple food critics as "the best" in the State of Texas. The highly acclaimed Fried Chicken and Maple Brined Pork Chop are just as good. “They padded the bill and won't refund it”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

My wife ate there late Jan 2012 with co-workers. Food was OK. Service good, but after she added a 20% tip to her bill, the total was $70. She didn't notice that they added another $8 to the credit card charge until we got the statement. She called them up and they said they're refund the $8, but 7 weeks have passed and they still haven't, after several calls. Do I have to say WE WILL NEVER EAT AT FRANK'S CHOP HOUSE AGAIN?!

“Okay...”
Reviewed February 7, 2012

We asked the waiter what were the best items & he said the fried chicken and the chicken fried steak. Honestly, there was nothing special about either of the dishes, I actually thought both were kind of bland... However, I would still go back to this restaurant and stick with my first instinct which would be to get either a steak or the pork chop (The lunch menu also looked pretty good). The dessert, on the other hand, was excellent. Unfortunately I can't remember what we ate (I looked on the website, but they don't show the desserts).

“Excellent!”
Reviewed January 17, 2012

Frank's Chop House was recommended by our hotel. The double-boned pork chop was excellent - very tender and delicious. The person who ordered the salmon was very happy with her selection as well. The ambiance was very nice; it was crowded (Friday night) but we could carry on a conversation easily at our table. The service was excellent as well. I would recommend this restaurant and will return next time I'm in Houston.

“Very good food and atmosphere”
Reviewed November 6, 2011

Visiting Houston this restaurant had very good food, pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, professional and friendly service. Fair price for what is offered. I went with my husband, but seems to be good for groups and families as well. Not noisy, but not too quite either. Definitely recommended.

“Excellent restaurant”
Reviewed June 25, 2011

This is a nice upscale restaurant with excellent food. The black drum is fantastic and the fried chicken will cause you to have craving attacks for years to come. And don't leave without trying the sticky toffee pudding and the tres leeches for dessert. Talk about craving inducing!
