“Perfectly fine hotel in Energy corridor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

I stayed in this hotel for about a week while doing some business in the area. It is perfectly fine, although you will find nothing at walking distance. Fortunately a modern area, with several restaurants and bars, named CityCentre (it is not THE City Centre) is a 5 minute drive away.

My room was on the ground floor which can get a bit loud, especially during the weekend.

The internet connection is quite slow and you have to 're-authenticate' each device a couple of times a day, which is a bit inconvenient. There is no safe in the room so if you have anything of value (laptop, travel money, iPad) then you have to drop that off at the front desk.... every time. Very inconvenient. The fridge and airco in my room also made a lot of noise during the night, so I had to turn it off completely.

The dinner area and bar look like a McDonalds, so I did not make use of it (the food may be perfectly fine, I didn't try)

The desk in each room comes with a nice ergonomic Herman Miller chair, so if you have to do some work from your hotel room then that is no problem.

Finally, the shower could do with a bit of a fix up as it has come loose.

Hotel very nice grandson left stuffed animal in bed and follow up call was not returned giving me status of stuffed animal. Felt sure that maid would have found in bed. otherwise the hotel is very nice. Just did not follow through after problem arose. Many tearful nights over this,

I just returned from a stay at this Hilton Garden Inn over the past weekend and could have not have been happier with our accommodations! We were there with 7 other families for a Destination ImagiNation tournament in Katy and everyone was extremely impressed with the level of service we received the entire weekend. (The outstanding service really all started before we even ever arrived with Dana and Valerie who helped set up our group reservations!) Our check-in and check-out was super organized, the staff members at the front desk--and the ones working throughout the whole hotel, for that matter--were exceedingly friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet that was set up for the large group was delicious, and the rooms were nicely decorated and had very comfortable beds! The lobby area is also gorgeous and yet very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a fabulous place to stay in the Katy/Houston Energy Corridor area!!!

I had just moved to Houston and was looking for a week's stay at a hotel close to the workplace and this property turned out to be the best choice on the Energy Corridor. I surely would like to commend the staff managing the hotel, the overall service quality was excellent. They have a shuttle service that takes you to the nearby malls or supermarkets you might wanna visit, and the housekeeping is top notch, by far the best I've seen in a Hilton property.

I have spent three weeks in this hotel ....once in November.....once in January and once in February....and must say that it was GREAT! Food is wonderful....rooms are awesome.....and the staff is REMARKABLE!! One staff member stands out to me...Vincent....everytime I have been here he has gone above and beyond! He gives customer service that most people take for granted...always smiling and right there when you need him!! And with our large groups it was refreshing to see!!! Thank you to the entire staff for a job well done.....and a smiling face as soon as you walk in the door!!!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and was very pleased with my stay. This was my second stay here as I had stayed here last year. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. The staff were all pleasant and professional. I was most impressed with the quality of the restaurant. I had meals there on three nights of my stay. The first night I had glazed samon over boc choi. The samon wasn't over cooked and it flaked off nicely. Not a big fan of boc choi but this was very flavorful and went well with the samon. What most surprised me was the side dish of Mac and cheese. I expected a a bowl of craft but it tuned out to be home made in a small casserole dish. It was very very good. I'll definately stay here again in the future.

Dear LHouchins,
We're so delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and that you reconnected with your latent passion for bok choi. It's an unusual vegetable indeed, but when prepared properly can be quite a pleasure on the palate.

We welcome you back to stay with us on your return visit to Houston. Many thanks for your kind remarks.

We were visiting relatives in Houston and stayed here just one night, but it was a pleasant one. The lobby is very attractive and the receptionist greeted us quickly and was very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable. We purchased the breakfast the next morning and it included fresh fruit, waffles, eggs, bacon and much more.
