Okay, a $50 bill for a two person meal is a bit spendy, I admit. And that's without alcohol.
Still, we were looking for local legends to spend our time and dime at, and the Armadillo proved it's merit. Not too crowded for a Friday night either, so that was a bonus.
We ate on the patio, fans and misters keeping us cool and keeping the flies away, which we dined on brisket, sausage, ribs and assorted sides. The jalapeno bread tickled the tastebuds, the meats are well done, and the sides are plentiful and provide the right amount of cooling/cleansing of palates between mouthfuls of meat. We had the potato salad, sweet beans, pinto beans and slaw.
Parking was easy, ordering was easy, paying was easy. Digesting all that meat...not so easy.
