The hotel is very nice and clean. The lobby was contemporary and comfortable. The staff was very professional, accommodating and friendly. The lady that took care of the breakfast was very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was good with a nice variety. Good selection of yogurt (the better brands not just yoplait)? There was a nice hot food selection and fresh fruit.

The room was nice and clean. I had a king suite with a sofa, desk, and small kitchenette.loved having a fridge to keep my juice and other items cool.

The housekeeping staff were nice and did a good job of cleaning the room. The only tiny issue is that most of the ladies were spanish speaking and did not understand English if I tried to communicate with her but she did have someone else to tell her what I was saying.

Overall good hotel, location and accommodations.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the highway!

Upon arriving, Ben informed us the hotel was having the carpets cleaned on the upper floors of the hotel. He advised we were welcome to take a room on one of the upper floors, but the cleaners may need to come in to do the floors at some point during our stay. Understanding a hotel must clean their carpets and taking a room out of commission to do so can to too costly. Ben honoured my request for a first floor room to avoid the cleaners and noise. I am glad he was able to accommodate us away from the cleaning, but would have been understanding had that not been possible. (I'd rather have a hotel inconvenience their guests for a day or two than have filthy carpets!)

Our room was clean and spacious with a sleeper sofa in the forefront of the room and a king bed to the back. A kitchenette is just in front of the sofa, along with the desk. The room had plenty of outlets for charging our various cameras and electronic equipment.

The hotel was conveniently located for our needs downtown. We were trying to avoid paying for parking and this hotel does not charge, but is still fairly close to downtown. It also appeared to be in a business area with lots of different sorts of businesses such as McKesson and other corporate offices, so if that's where you're headed in Houston, this spot is ideal.

The only problem we encountered was when we pulled the bed out of the sleeper sofa, the room is not quite wide enough to allow the bed to pull out without hitting the television stand. We moved the stand, but it was a tight squeeze between the wall and the foot of the bed. Otherwise this hotel was fantastic, the staff were always friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Watch signs carefully in this area as the constructions on the highways is constant!

The hotel is in a great location (easy to reach from 610, downtown only a few minutes away). Great rates. Super friendly & helpful staff. Clean, quiet rooms. Good breakfast. Near good restaurants. Was perfect for weekend place to stay.

Stay at this property for two nights. It's not too far from the Galleria and there are many back ways to make it to the Galleria area without having to sit in Houston traffic. There's construction going on around the area, just like 80% of Houston.

Checked in right at 3PM but told our room wasn't available. We waiting about 10 mins then we were able to get to the room. The front desk staff were very friendly and apologized for the delay.

On first look, the room was clean but it was in dire need of a good dusting. Behind the tv, the phones, iHome, lamps and tv stand all had a think layer of dust. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. My reservation said 2 queen beds but the room we got had two double beds. No big deal but it could have been for someone else. The hotel was sold out that evening.

Breakfast was adequate. Eggs, fruit, sausage, cereal etc. The attendant did a very good job keeping the food trays, plates and utencils filled. She also offered to remove dirty plates.

The hotel has a very contemporary/boutique design which is so refreshing. Most of the decor is fresh and very appealing. The mint green accents added a touch of calmness, just my opinion.

If you want to stay out of the traffic trap in the 610/59/Westheimer area, stay here. Friendly staff, good breakfast, lovely decor.

This hotel gets 5 stars, because it had everything we needed for our stay. The front desk personnel were super friendly and helpful. The manager was very attentive and accommodating. I had issues upon my arrival into Houston with a sister property (see my review on TownePlace Suites Central/Northwest Freeway) whose manager was anything but helpful. So to have someone listen to my issues AND address them was wonderful.
The place itself is clean and inviting. The room was spacious, beds comfortable. The pull-out sofa however, was not comfortable, the person sleeping on it was better off not pulling it out and just sleeping on the sofa. But everyone had a place to sleep, which was the important thing.
As one other person mentioned, the service road and freeway fronting the building are under construction, but it wasn't hard to navigate the streets and get onto the freeway. Our room was on the freeway side, and we had no issues with traffic noise. On that note, we were all exhausted when it was time to sleep, so that might have had something to do with it.
Breakfast was average. Nothing spectacular, but saved me money buying b-fast elsewhere.
Very close to downtown, approx 10 min drive on a Sat night.
Check in and out was a breeze.
I just want to re-iterate how helpful and friendly the staff and manager were. At that point in my trip I had just driven 6 hours to Houston and was without a place to stay due to my previous reservation falling through. Marriott customer service (800-number) found this property for me, which was close by, but a little higher in rate. They matched the rate of the original reservation with no hassle. Part of the experience in staying at a hotel is knowing that the personnel are willing to resolve issues that may arise. I'm confident that the personnel here would do so for anyone and just about any situation.

While visiting our daughter for the first time since she moved from Chicago 3 years ago, we found this hotel to be close to her from Mapquest. What a great find! Even with all the construction going on outside on the highway, the room was quiet. It was also clean, & spacious. The staff was friendly and answered any question we might have with a smile. We really enjoyed our stay and plan on staying again soon. We also have recommended Springhill to other family members. The DiSylvestros thank you for your hospitality.

Stayed here for 3 nights from 1/29-2/1. The rooms are nice and up to date. Loads of space to spread out. Breakfast spread was decent. Only complaint is that there is only one drawer to store your stuff, so on my 3 day trip I had to leave some stuff in my bag. There is no dresser to speak of in the room. Overall good choice, reasonable price, with good access to downtown (highways close by).
