If you are relying on a hotel for a shuttle to get you to the airport, forget this one. The shuttle runs only once per hour. On Saturdays, they have no driver until 8 a.m. We stayed there on business and needed to rely on the shuttle to get us to and from the airport each day for 3 weeks. 3 different days we waited an hour for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport. Then the shuttle driver was driving 80 miles per hour on the freeway to get us back to the hotel. One day the driver was that late because he picked someone up who was shopping at Walmart before he would pick us up. Our party got left at the hotel one morning because there were too many people for the shuttle to accomodate. The beds in my room were terrible. You could literally feel the springs poking you. They do include breakfast which is watery scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles every morning, but the internet is useless. It is wireless but it takes a very long time to connect-the first time an hour. They have no support for the internet. The staff was totally indifferent to our shuttle problems.

The standard design of the Amerisuites rooms is efficient (half wall separating sitting area/ kitchenette from bedroom/ bath area with tv viewable from both areas). The staff was friendly upon check-in. Our internet worked just fine.

However, we found the beds to be very uncomfortable (lots of springs in your back). The room needed an update (worn looking carpeting). And the free breakfast was marginal at best.

Finding the hotel upon leaving the airport was no easy adventure either. There are other hotel options that would have been far more convenient to IAH (with restaurants closer by).

Still, our Entertainment rate of only $53 a night made this hotel a bargain!

I've been a member of the Hyatt Gold Passort since it started last year and I stay with the Amerisuites a lot. My main problem is the staff of the Amersuites and it really does not matter which one I stay in, fails to report my stay to Hyatt Gold Passport system. It's a great system that I use a lot for free night stays but I have to always fight to get my points. I sat in this hotel quite a bit, and they consistantly fail to report the points everytime except for one stay this past January. I have to constantly make phone calls to the folks in the Hyatt Gold Passport to retreive my points. My last two attempts has been with the manager of the hotel who had promised me that this would never happen again. And guess what, it's happening again.

Other things that been getting me annoyed with is, the workout room is not being maintained. It did go for a while with out a TV which I do not care about but they used to have two treadmills and now they are down to one. It has gliches with it and I have to play around with the "STOP" button to make it run. Thier excersize bike is totally inop.

The rooms are now starting to show it's age.

Otherwise, the breafast buffet has everything that you need if you are not worried about your weight, the room rates are good, Shuttle service is good.

The hotel advertises that all rooms are internet enabled.Alas, this is not the case.I tried for a couple hours to fix this myself , all to no avail.Management were useless in trying to get the situation sorted and they no longer have an on site business centre. They did recommend that I go to FedEx across the way where i would have the pleasure of paying $0.20/minute for the inconvenience of this. I declined. Not what I needed on a business trip and so I changed hotels. An otherwise adequate hotel with large clean rooms, and a lovely breakfast buffet. The front of house staff are friendly, if a little inept. Short drive from the airport, with a shuttle service provided.
All in all not a bad place to stay if you don't need to rely heavily on the 'Net.

This hotel seemed like other Amerisuites that we have stayed in. The room was large and clean. The high speed internet worked great. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. We didn't try the breakfast this time. No complaints.

Suites are very spacious and clean. Staff are exceptional. Breakfast plentiful and free. Would be best to hire a car but be warned not for the faint hearted!! Cost of cab to downtown $25 - $30 each way. Minute Maid Park is worth a visit.
