We spent a lot of time at the Yacht Club during our visit to the Marriott Resort. We reserved wave runners with our Guest Experience Coordinator prior to arriving. A good idea to reserve in advance on busy weekends.
First the bad part of our Yacht Club visits
Our experience with the wave runners was ok, but the service at the Marina, especially inside was some of the worst we experienced all weekend. They were just not interested. The next day the banana boats was not working and were told we could use a kayak instead. We went back later and that person said the kayak was not part of the deal. In the end we were able to kayak, but had no help in getting them on the water. Just not the service that was provided at the rest of the resort (except maybe the hotel pool bar)

The best part of the Yacht Club was the pool, and beach front area. Both were covered with plenty of staff waiting on guests. The pool was nice and the sauna/hot tub was awesome. Can't wait to go back.

We rented a ski boat from the marina, and had a good time with it. However, upon returning the boat a crack was found in one of the aluminum prop wings, and we were forced to pay for a new prop ($150, although you can get them for around $50). Yes, it was fractured, and upon pre-trip VISUAL inspection beforehand there was no noticeable fracture from 6 feet away. The suspect part was the 2 attendants seemed to have rehearsed lines telling us several times at pre-inspection that this was a "brand new prop" and after that "you cracked the prop, but I guess you knew that already knew that.". It all seemed VERY suspicious, like we had been set up with a fractured prop from the beginning (a very cheap prop btw) that had been bent back together and painted black when they showed us, only to become worse as soon as we got the boat up to speed. All I know is this: NEVER during our trip did we hit anything or run aground!!! We are experienced boaters with many many years experience on various boats, and I have never damaged a prop without knowing it. This was just weird, and seemed like a set up based on the shady language they used at our return. So be cautious!!! If you rent a boat, I suggest you manually inspect the prop for cracks/damage, and bend each of the fins to make sure there isn't a hidden fracture!!!

We rented a ski boat from the marina and had a very good experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful from check out to return of the boat. The boat itself was clean and ran well. When you return the boat, they check the prop for damage and add fuel. The charge for a damaged prop is $150 on top of the rental fee, so we were happy that we did not have that problem!

The next day we visited the Granite Beach Waterpark. This was such a neat place, with water trampolines, slides, and floating climbing walls. The covered picnic area was very crowded, but we met a nice man who offered to share his table with us. Bringing in food/coolers is allowed, and I highly recommend that. The "Grill" restaurant is really a very limited snack bar. All I saw were pizza and popcorn.

The fun at Granite Beach is for the bigger kids and athletically inclined. There is a nice roped off beach area for toddlers, but they would have trouble managing the bigger water toys. The cost is pretty steep, at $77 for our family of four, which includes two preteens. I had to laugh at the money spent, because our kids got the biggest kick out of seeing people toss crackers into the water to watch the catfish surface for a snack!

Got there on Prime Rib night, one low price for a complete meal! Prices were very reasonable and the menu was good.
