It's pretty good hotel actually, atmosphere, services, food. Especially swimming pool, very big and large, my baby's very enjoy. Location is not too hard to find, but might be a little far from restaurant outside. When I stayed there, there's an Indian Wedding ceremony but it's still ok, this could be a compliment for the hotel that can manage it very well. Even it's little noisy at the pool but I can handle it. Overall is good.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days and it's my best recommendation for Mririott around the world.
Room, ocean view, service, breakfast, seafood grills are all top notch.

We joined the bike tour arranged by hotel and it's great fun to explore with someone from local.
The tour guide brough us to country roads nearby and a tropical plant garden where we saw rare tropical plants in person and real village life.

The Marriot Rayong is a beautiful hotel! Everything was new and fresh.

Our (deluxe) room was not very big for 2 adults and 2 children (4 and 7 yrs) but it had enough space since we spend most our time at the pool. It had big floor to ceiling windows with views of the hills. The bathroom is separated from the rest of the room by sliding doors so that you can watch tv from the bath, how cool is that? The toilet also has a sliding door that concealed the toilet OR the shower.

The room had a tiny balcony which is of no use what so ever I think. It is to small to sit with more then one person.

The hotel complex is BIG with lots of space in and around the lobby. It had views of the huge garden and in the distance Koh Samed. Hotel service and personnel was without any exception excellent!

The pools in the garden were really nice. They are a 5 minute-walk from the main building. The beach is cleaned every day by a team of 5 or 6 people, but still we preferred the pool, because it was cleaner and with no rocks.

The main restaurant served food at (marriot) reasonable prices. The chicken Tandoori was really good. Breakfast was also very good, with lot's of fresh food.

The location of the hotel is a bit isolated, there aren't much nice villages within walking distance, only more hotels. We stayed for 2 nights and used the (free) transfer to visit the village of Ban Phe. From here the ferry for Samed departs.

In conclusion, the Marriot in Rayong is probably one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed at, but I don't think we would have stayed for more then a few nights because of the location...

Room Tip: Maybe book a room with seaview, perhaps they offer a bigger balcony?

This hotel is very beautiful and quiet. The lobby is grand and it was designed so well that the wind goes through it (which means no A/C in the lobby). There is a large balcony that you can see the whole view of the hotel. You have to use the key card in order to activate the elevator.

The room is spacious even in the standard room. There are bath tub, shower, and rain shower in the bathroom. Hair dryer is also available in every room. The toiletries are of very good quality (Thann brand) and the maid even comes to the room asking if we need more items of anything (soap, hand lotion, shampoo, etc.).

The room equips with a wall-mounted LCD TV with HDMI & Computer to TV port. The internet signal in the room is very strong, however, you will have to pay extra of THB 300++ / day. There is a round table big enough to be your work station.

The bed is quite big with an additional day bed in every room. There are iron and ironing board for the clothes that need a bit of touch up. Security box is available inside the wardrobe as well as digital scale. As the room is facing the sea, the strong wind can be expected especially in the rainy season. The wind is so strong that you can hear it in your bedroom.

The pools are good with sliders. There is an aquarium pool which you can see the fishy when you dive or you can enjoy the aquarium on the other side of the pool.

The kids' club is good, there are plenty of activities for kids to choose from, be it a computer game, ball house, dressing room, a mini theatre. Kids can enjoy special activities during the weekend (like building sand castle, making cookie, Sand Candle, etc.)

The gyms are ok, it's opposite of the spa. Unfortunately, the boxing gloves smell badly. They should have cleaned them more often. There are beach volleyball, morning yoga session (free of charge) and bike rental (THB 250++ per 2 hours) for you to enjoy your time there.

Breakfast is good, Lunch and Dinner are ok. The hotel staff members are very friendly and helpful.

I have been in the Marriott for a conference and was amazed by the service. We were 4 days in the hotel. The rooms are big and beautiful but the sinks do not work well.
The pools are large.
Breakfast variety is very good. We had all meals in the hotel and all meals are delicious. The service from the waiters are exceptional, all have been very friendly in the conference area and in the restaurants. My special thank you goes to Monika, she was everywhere to every time. She even took care about my towels in the room and my spa appointment and my boss with his telephone in the room. If you need anything ask Monika as you can be sure your request is understood, at some areas in the hotel not everybody understands English. Monika speaks very good English and even could communicate with me in French. She is not only helpful she is as well professional. Everything was excellente. My boss was very impressed from the hotel as well. As well I want to mention the chef de cuisine. Very good food and he made sure we have everything.
This hotel is perfect for incentives and company events.
Tres bien. Thanks to all the associates who served us in a very very good way.

The hotel was really beautiful, especially the lobby, room and the pools!

However there can be many improvements to provide a better stay
- I think that you should get a lifeguard at the pool area with the slide because me and my sister were trying to go on the slide (we're teenagers) and many small kids were standing right in front of the slide and I couldn't go down because then i would have hit them!!
- Some of the staff were really rude. At the restaurant near the beach pool the waiter didn't even reply to our order! We asked her for something and she just stood there and looked at us with a really angry face? Maybe she was new i guess? but she was soo rude!!
- The beach is reallyyy dangerous!! it's full of rocks and sharp objects i think you should warn the guests about going to the beach because someone can get really injured by those sharp objects

overall its good for the price :)
