“For a special Treat!”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

My wife took me to this little place just to celebrate us. It is located in a blue house and tables are set up in various rooms. The standard menu is augmented by a long list of daily specials. We ordered a sandwich from each list and both were delightful! Hers was chicken avocado on a croissant and mine was called "The Gobbler," with shaved turkey and cranberry among other ingredients. We shared halves, so we both tasted each others'. The sandwiches came with a cup of soup, cold gazpacho with shrimp for me and chicken tortilla for my sweetie. Both were a treat. Also included was a small salad; she chose a chopped fruit that was very interesting and I had the Asian, which was light and tasty. We had to come back later to get the magnificent carrot cake that called us from the dessert array. It wasn't the only voice I heard, but it was an outstanding choice! Our waitress from lunch also sold me the cake and she was enthusiastic about one delicacy after another. We finally agreed that when everything is so good, it's hard to choose a favorite.

The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch and the bakery is open until 5 p.m. A word of warning, if you use the automatic tip calculator at checkout, it will include the tax in the calculation.

“The place is nice - very Hot!”
Reviewed May 24, 2014 via mobile

The food is good. ..sandwich shop health stuff. Cakes and pies are great! Don't expect the typical Mexican food or steaks. Just healthy sandwich stuff. The place is an nice quaint old home. . Parking is a bit difficult at lunch time. .. the AIR CONDITION doesn't cool at all. .. so I'd you're hot blooded. ...oooooff!

Otherwise prices are too too bad but again. . It's a chicken sandwich shop/cafe

“Wonderful little cafe!”
Reviewed March 25, 2014

This is an adorable cafe that puts me in mind of a "ladies who lunch" tearoom....but don't let that scare the men off. There are 3 or 4 rooms with 2 or 3 tables in each. Their menu is limited but what we had was excellent. Their specialty soup is Tuscan Potato - not the traditional creamy soup but one with a thinner broth with italian sausage and big chunks of potato that was quite delicious. The two of us had North Carolina pulled pork, quiche and 2 different salads that were both excellent. The dessert display is not to be missed. They had a huge selection of cakes, cookies and other goodies that were very good. The service was also excellent.

“Quiet Place for a Lite Meal”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

We went there for breakfast, and though they have a limited breakfast selection, what we had was very good. I had homemade granola with yogurt and fresh fruit. They also serve lunch and we have decided that we want to go back for lunch. The selections certainly looked good; soups, sandwiches, salads, etc. There is also a display case with their homemade bake goodies on display to tempt you. Good place to check out for a lite breakfast or lunch.
