This was a good hotel, but still a little on the average side. The hotel exterior is nice, with a brick facade, and there is ample parking all around the hotel. The manager on duty checked me in and was very nice and helpful. I requested a ground floor room and he was very accommodating. The room was clean, bed sheets were clean, bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable. A strange odor first hit me when I entered the room, but then it passed -- maybe it was just me. The walls, ceiling, and tile in the bathroom are starting to show wear. Maybe too many "spring breakers!" A light breakfast is served in the mornings with the usual items plus biscuits and gravy. There is a computer in the lobby for guest to use the internet. Internet service is availabe in the rooms as well. There is a movie theater (Cinemark) across the street and the hotel posts a daily movie schedule at the check in desk if you are interested. There are also many restaurants in the area that are in walking distance including: Chili's (on the corner), Applebees, Whataburger, Buffalo Wild Wings, Pizza Hut, and an HEB grocery store as well. Overall, I would stay here again.
