I had about this from several friends and stopped by to experience it myself. It's worth the stop. The only problem is that unless you know it's there you wouldn't know it was there. No signs on the interstate and once you turn off there are no signs either. You just have to find it. Not being a Catholic I wasn't familiar with The Stations of the Cross. Very informative. The gift shop and bathrooms are very nice. The center of the building was beautiful with the waterfall. Overall great experience for a Christian.

We were traveling eastbound on I-40 and spied this large cross just prior to Groom, Texas. It is large and you cant miss it. Around the base is the stations of the cross.

The largest cross in the Northern Hemisphere dedicated to our Lord Jesus Christ. 2.5 million pounds of steel.

13 Life size Stations of the Cross, a replica tomb and shroud of Turin.

The gift store has clean restrooms and a great variety of affordable gifts.

Please donate at least $10 to maintain this ministry while you visit.

I feel inadequate even writing about this amazing place. The events of the passion and death of Jesus Christ are depicted in bronze sculptures that are magnificent. Spend some time appreciating the details in the features of each sculpture. This is a must stop for every Christian. It's worth the drive.

This is a great display with a focus on the Crucifixion. the 12 steps he took. No cost to see the display and they have a small gift shop. Do miss the empty tomb off to the left,
