Had heard of this giant cross for some time and had actually driven by it on I-40. This tiome I knew I had to stop. What a pleasure to see all the work that had been done to present the several stages ofg Jesus's last days. What a tribute to the Christian faith. Super Gift Shop with so many Christian articles for sale. Everything very clean and well presented.

This is a HUGE cross standing at least 50 feet tall. Around the cross are "stations" depicting Jesus and his most painful "journey" from the trial with Pilate up to and after his death. There are several other areas to see, including a replicas of the "Shroud of Turin, and the Tomb Jesus was placed in after the crucifixion. There is also a gift shop on the site. Well worth a visit!

This 190 ft. cross can be seen for 20 miles and is just off I-40 in Groom, TX. Bronze monuments tell of Jesus' journey to the Cross and makes for an unforgettable experience. There's a marvelous walkway throughout on which a walker or wheelchair can be pushed so no one has to miss it...truly inspirational for all who visit. There's also a fabulous gift shop for browsing you don't want to miss. Remember: Exit 112...one Lord, 12 disciples...easy to remember!

This attraction was one attraction on our list as we were traversing the country by automobile. From 12 miles out, traveling west along I-40, (that’s when we spotted it), one can see the Cross in the distance. Situated in Middle America, this 190 foot tall icon of the Christian faith stands out magnificently on the plains. But it is more than just a Cross. Surrounding it are the Stations of the Cross, the figures at each station made from bronze. The Last Supper and the Crucifixion are also displayed in bronze. Other features also grace the property, my favorite being the Divine Mercy Fountain.

This is a beautiful site for all to enjoy and to contemplate what had happened over 2000 years ago. There is no admission charge. It is educational and spiritually moving. It is peaceful and serene. It is well worth visiting.

A very moving presentation of the crucifixion.
This "roadside attraction" should not be missed if you are a Christian or interested in the story of Christ's death. A giant cross, easily visible from Interstate 40 (on the south side) is surrounded by beautiful sculptures that depict the 14 stages of the cross. Each sculpture is accompanied by a Bible verse. There is no admission fee and there is ample parking and room to turn around if you're in an RV. There is a gift shop, but no one approaches you while you're viewing the sculptures. Very well done.
