“Great service”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

The service at Fireside Pies was excellent once you got past the hostesses and host, who all seemed more interested in talking with each other than helping customers. The pizza was very good, and as has been stated, it's a little pricey. My favorite item at this place wasn't the pizza but rather the Harvest Salad. It was yummy. This place is worth the trip.

“Not your typical pizza joint”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

Grapevine (and Southlake) have an embrassament of riches when it comes to selecting a pizza place. Fireside is a bit more of an upscale experience and is a nice spin on traditional pizzas.

Salads are large, so if you order one it should be enough for two people. The pizza menu is not terribly extensive, but you can certainly modify anything on the menu and create your own.

There is outdoor seating in a covered "three-season" porch, but we find seating inside is the best option. The porch is adjacent to a small sidewalk that separates Fireside from the adjacent restaurant (Mi Dia). You will see a lot of foot traffic and hear the restaurant's music from next door. Almost all of the indoor seating is in booths, so it is pretty comfortable for just about any size party. (There are 2 and 4-top tables along a banquette, sort of "half-booths" but still comfy.)

The only downside is parking. When Fireside opened, it was only one of two restaurants on the site (the other is Bob's Chop House). Now, two more have opened - Mi Dia (Mexican) and Winewoods (American) - which have overcrowded the parking demand. Going on a Friday or Saturday night might be challenging to find parking.

“The pizza was good but expensive”

This is a great option for a couple's date night but if you take your entire family it could get pricey.

“New twist on pizza”

Great place for those who like to think outside the box. Delicious (if a little spicy) pizza with unique ingredient combinations. Nice crisp crust!

“Sadly, I think the luster is gone for us”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Was a big fan of this different pie, I found the newness being over and now I think it's over...for us anyway. It's not a big pie, and now I find the crust overtaking the ingredients. Our last two dinners here were less than tasty, with the basic pie tasting boring and unseasoned. I don't know ....try it yourselves, but with wood fired oven pizza more accessible everywhere now, this pie is getting far behind the rest. Sorry Fireside.
