I took my 3 yr old son and his three teenage cousins to GWL to celebrate his birthday. We stayed in a Wolf Den Suite, which was a little too small to be called a true suite and looked a bit like a La Quinta room, but was clean, comfortable and had a cute "cave" bunk bed area with its own TV that my son loved.
The waterpark was a hit with all the kids and I had fun in there as well. I liked that they had a smaller pool area for toddlers and a bigger wave pool and slides for the older kids. There was only one girl working the bar by the waterpark area and it took quite a while to get a drink.
The Pizza Hut, Starbucks and gift shop were nice to have, but a little overpriced. Staff was friendly. My main complaint is the too late/too early check in and check out times of 11am and 4pm. It felt as if they didn't want us in the room too long. Do they really need 5 hours to get a room clean for the next guest?
Overall, it was a nice family getaway. Probably wouldn't be fun if you didn't have kids.More
