They have slides the family can do together in one raft. I was 8 weeks pregnant when we went and I had a great time. It was nice to swim and see sunshine. We live in Germany and spent Spring Break with family in the US. If you have a weak stomach, do not go down the slides backwards. Tons of lifeguards. It is a bit expensive. If you lose your bracelet, it costs $40 to replace it. We did not have to do that, but we were told that once we asked about it. Your room key is a chip in your bracelet they provide you. Very handy!! We didn't get a super fancy room. It was plenty big for us. We went downtown and they had lots of boutiques to look at. They close at 5:30. There is a seafood restaurant and it was delicious. We were there Monday thru Wednesday during Spring Break. You can start playing before your room is ready. I believe you can start at 1pm. Also the day you check out, you can play. We went to the aquarium in Dallas. It was about 30 minutes from the Lodge. It was very neat and it ended our trip with a smile. They say that you can't take outside drinks and stuff into the waterpark area, but we did. We saw lots of people that did also. No coolers, but beach bags with things.
