“Dirty Water, Broken Glass. Ugliest Lake Ever”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

Lake has gone downhill in recent years. Water is brown and muddy along the main swimming areas. Bits of broken beer bottles everywhere! Wear shoes, but I suggest going elsewhere.

“Great lake to spend a day out boating.”

Fireworks every Friday night from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Big Daddy's Ship Store is a great hang out place to eat and watch the Fireworks!

“Grapevine Lake?”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

Too busy, unless it's during the week, or terrible conditions. Water is hot and murky during most of the summer...try somewhere else!

“Great, easy escape”
Reviewed April 29, 2013 via mobile

In town for business and looking for somewhere to get outside and get some exercise. Ended up at North Shore trailhead by chance and it ended up being awesome.
Hiked a 2 mile trail mostly used by mountain bikers who were all very friendly. It was very wooded and had a few views of the lake but mostly in the woods.
It was marked ok, but would have appreciated better maps! Nice getaway close to the city.

over the last years.
