“Menu Variety Very Family Friendly”
Reviewed June 24, 2014

Besides creating a "mini-Disneyesque" family dining experience, the food came in a close second. I thought it was unnecessarily difficult to find the separate kids' menu. The food selections covered most everything and the prices kept the whole experience "family affordable". Tip: the chicken tenders from the Regular Menu's Appetizer selection is bargain. At $10 it came with 6 generous portions of chicken breasts along with fries and two servings of your choice of dipping sauces. Large enough to share.

Although the place was "full", we only waited about 5 minutes before being seated. I've heard there can be very long lines, I suppose it depends on the time of day and whether on a weekend.

Service was very friendly and attentive. A great family-friendly atmosphere.

“Wild and unique.”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

The scenic view is inside a rainforest at this café, surrounded by the sights, sounds and vegetation of a real rainforest. Food was excellent - a bit on the high price side, but considering the atmosphere, it was worth it. Great place to take kids. Occasional sounds of elephants, gorillas, birds and real rain fountains all contribute to the experience. The North Texas Red Hat ladies reserved a luncheon there, and for that large of group, they offered a choice of 3 different entrees at an extremely reasonable price, and it was all excellent! I've been there a few times and enjoyed it each time. Probably not a place adults would frequent, but worth a trip and a must see for kiddos. Location inside a huge outlet mall is an added plus. And a nearby aquarium adds to the day. Can definitely recommend Rainforest Café.

“Know when to go and what to order!”
Reviewed June 11, 2014 via mobile

This is a very family friendly restaurant with a fun animatronic rainforest animal theme. On the pricey side but understandable considering the decor (including amazing salt water fish and large waterfall). Definitely try to go during the week and order the barbecue chicken wrap. Yum! Skip the volcano dessert. It's stale and only for show. Have gone here several times while at Grapevine Mills Mega Mall.

“Family Fun”
Reviewed June 10, 2014 via mobile

We took our family here last night for "linner" and had fantastic service and really good food. I got the fajitas and the Mr. The seafood combo. Fajitas good but nothing special. The tilapia topped with a mango salsa was splendid!! Usually chain restaurants do not excite me but between the kid friendly atmosphere and the food wishing the one in my home state hadn't closed many yrs ago!!

This is a large theme restaurant inside an even larger mall. It's clearly geared for kids and they seem to enjoy it. The food is nothing special but alright. It's a typical overpriced American restaurant with a little bit of everything. It's an okay family type experience but anticipate it will be very loud and very crowded with a long wait to get in.
