“You haven't had a pizza till you eat this”

Pizza is subjective. If you never had a REAL New York pizza, you will notice the difference here immediately. Great ingredients, fresh preparation, and wood fired Akers the difference. Glad his is in Grapevine, had to drive to upown in the past. Try it, you won't regret it I believe.

“A slice of pizza heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012 via mobile

Being a New York transplant to Texas the one thing we have been unable to find is great pizza. We have been to Grimaldi's in Brooklyn and enjoyed it, even though I am not opening up the age old debate on New York pizza. We were definitely not disappointed tonight. In fact, so glad we drove the 20 minutes to get there rather than eating a mediocre over priced pizza in Fort Worth. We ordered way too much food and have left overs for several days. So it will be a great week... The pizza had the right amount of cheese, tomatoes, and the crust was perfect. Caesar salad dressing was tasty and not the heavy mayo based dressing. Croutons baked to perfection. Calzone was excellent. Marinara Sauce was very tasty. Greek salad also great. Although we called in a to go order, the space looked like a traditional family pizzeria. The staff seemed very personable and nice. We know where we are getting take out from every week or so. Will definitely have to eat there sometime too. The taste is all in the water and somehow they figured out how to do New York pizza in Texas. Other than the Brooklyn Bridge missing, you could not tell we were in Grapevine instead of Brooklyn.

“Another Great Grimaldi's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2012

We love Grimaldi's and have eaten at several locations. The food at this new location is very good, just like we've come to expect from all other Grimaldi's. The pizza is the best. Go visit this location. Be patient because there is some construction in front of the shopping center it is in.

“Great NY thin crust pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2012

Grimaldi's opening was highly anticipated and they did not dissapoint. I had a small garden salad to start but it was far from small. Lettuce was fresh and roasted red peppers were a nice touch but the salad was a little overdressed. The house dressing was a typical italian but flavorful. With four people we ordered two separate pizzas. Two of us had the cheese pizza with extra basil. The crust was perfectly cooked and not too salty. Mozerella was fresh and in slices rather than shredded. The red sauce was not too heavy and had a nice touch of oregano. Our companions had the pizza with peperoni and jalepenos. The jalapenos were hot even for us texans but good if you like heat. It is great to finally have a pizza place that lives up to it's reputation. Next time in New York city we will pick Grimaldi's over Lombardi's.
