Can't make it to San Antonio? Then stop by the Gaylord hotel in Grapevine Texas and go to the facsimile of San Antonio's Riverwalk. That "River" (indoor) will include the Cantina. This restaurant serves up great Mexican cuisine. Tacos, burritos and Fajitas are part of the menu.

On this night, I decided to try the Mexican fusion, a Salmon TexMex. My wife had the "Texas Burrito". Both were delicious and fresh. Dinners run $12-24. Our entrees were about $15.

Maybe the best part of the meal was the pitcher of Sangria ($32). You can choose red or white and the pitcher seems bottomless.

The service was great and the location is beautiful. The restaurant has an outdoor feel to it, but you're actually indoors thanks to the Gaylord's 4 acre atrium. Whether you stay at the hotel or not, Riverwalk Cantina is good for lunch and dinner

This establishment is open for all meals. The menu for each is varied and the service was good. Perfect location for a quick meal with the Gaylord facility.

It feels wonderful to sit next to the "river" at the Riverwalk Cantina. The food is terrific and plentiful. The service is always attentive and prompt.

First off, let me say that I am not a die hard fan of Tex-Mex UNLESS it is very good and very authentic. The offerings here to my taste, unfortunately were more for out of state tourists and filling than authentic. Over priced as well.
Having said that minor negative, the breakfast offerings were excellent---a little pricy---but great service and solid meals.
A big point is that it is the only breakfast sit-down restaurant in the Gaylord complex and easily reached. It also has a very nice atmosphere. If you stay at the Gaylord you will eventually wind up there anyway. Make it breakfast.
