“Slightly disappointing for price”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

I was very excited to finally get the chance to go to the aquarium. However, it was a bit pricey and I was through in under an hour. I did not rush at all.

“Aquarium fron Inside IN”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

Awesome place to visit. Not only colorful species, and great variety but amazing infraestructure that will make you feel you are inside a fish tank. I also liked the quiz for kids and kids really enjoyed touching the baby octopus.

“Quick getaway for the afternoon with kids”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Really a nice visit ... After reading the mixed reviews I wasn't sure if we should go visit Sea Life. In fact, I passed up the chance on several occassions to go because the reviews were so bad. But luckily I found a $5 coupon and decided to just take my kids and head out there to see for ourselves. I know the price may be steep but the coupon really helped offset the cost - and we spend almost that much going to the movies with popcorn & drinks. Go on a weekday afternoon if you can - we had a school holiday today and it seemed like we had the place to ourselves. They did say Fridays can be busy. The guy was very courteous and welcoming and we walked in - again with super low expectations - but was I wrong. I've been to many aquariums across the country - but this one was super clean. All the exhibits were nicely done and they did a great job with the artwork and presentation - it truly felt like we were somewhere else other than an outlet mall in Grapevine. Again, really nice exhibits and yes, it wasn't a huge aquarium - it really had just enough to hold the attention of my kids ages 7 and 11. (We've been to larger aquariums and after 2 hours of looking at fish - their mind wanders more to the gift shop than anything else or how much longer) They espeically loved the area upstairs where you can touch crabs and starfish. We probably enjoyed it even more because there weren't many people during the week day. Loved seeing the usual fish, seahorses, and jellyfish - but they had some really unusual fish and octobpus! We asked a lady about the octopus tank and she gave us so much information - so the staff really is knowledgable about the fish and such. We had a steady pace - not too fast/not too slow - it was very relaxed and we easily spent over an hour there. Could have stayed longer they loved the petting area. Again, don't be swayed by some of these reviews. if you are looking for something new to do in DFW and want to spend 1-2 hours of escapism - instead of a movie, find a coupon online and try this out. My kids are still talking about how much fun they had.

“RIP OFF!!!!”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

This was a complete joke! Paid almost $60 to walk through a small aquarium. Did they have a lot of sea life yes, was it worth almost $60 for my wife and son absolutely not! It took about 20 30 minutes to look at everything and walk through this place. Not nearly as big as I thought it would be. It's no bigger than the Under Armor store right next to it. Place is so small it only has a bathroom in one spot so if you go by the bathroom you have to wait until you exit the aquarium.

“Impressed to find this in a mall, of all places!”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

This is a full-blown, professional sea life exhibit with octopus, sharks, sea turtle and hundreds of other creatures. There are hands-on exhibits for the little ones, plus a card that you can fill out by answering the trivia questions posted on the walls along the way. There's a glass tube that you walk through with sharks and other fish swimming above and around you, plus an area where you walk on top of the aquarium and the fish swim beneath your feet. Watch for Groupons and other coupons but even at full price, this place is worth the trip. I've been to city aquariums and sea life exhibits in California, Oregon, South Carolina, etc., and this aquarium ranks highly in my book.
