“Average only because the course is nice”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2010

I get it. Most guys who work in golf pro shops are not too friendly. They are better than than the rest of us who pay $185 to enjoy 3-4 hours of golf with unlimited soft drinks and hamburgers/hot dogs/ and , oh yeah, Jalapeno pork things INCLUDED (the after lunch TUMS are not included)! Woohoo! A tip to all golf shop attendants out there- WAKE UP! DUDE, YOU ARE WORKING AT A GOLF COURSE BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO EVEN PLAY ON A LOW PAYING SEMI-PRO TOUR! Do not be condescending to us. It's our money that pays your $10.00 an hour salary! OK, I'm done talking about them.

Yea, Cowboys golf club has some fine ladies. They are all dressed up in their Cowboys jerseys, low cut shorts, primped hair, you get it....BUT- NO PERSONALITY! Wait, they might smile or say hello if you golf there all the time. However, for us guys that aren't fortunate enough to be golf shop attendants, golf pros, or members of this prestigous "resort"- FORGET IT!

Finally, this place reminds me of a steak house in a casino. $30 shrimp cocktails, $85 filet mignons , and $25 creme brulees on the menu. The "gamblers" who spend tons of money there get those items comped. These gamblers are enough to think that the filet mignon cooked by the same Mexican who cooks at the family restaurant during the day is somehow worth $85 and he is incredibly fortunate to be eating it. So, he keeps gambling with the hope of accumulating enough points to be able to comp another filet mignon and impress his 61 year old lady friend. Similarily, this place is full of corporate who charge their $185 green fee on their corporate charge card. Of course they think this place is great. They didn't pay anything to play/eat here! Though, if you were to say that to them - they would reply that they did pay because that is part of there benefits package or some ! Gotta love them. However, if they actually were to take $185 cash out of there cob-webbed laden wallets (which they never would)- you would see a ton of complaints on here. However, just like the gambler will not complain about the restaurant he thinks he is eating free at- neither will the corporate .

Pros- Well maintained golf course. You can see Troy Aikmans locker while you are taken a in the 300 square foot bathroom/locker room (yea- 300 sq ft' combined at best!- I don't know how more than 10 grown men , let alone football players could fit in there.)

Cons- lol!

For the record- I got free passes to play there. I'd go back for $25 bucks! No, actually, $20 and a from one of their honeys in a Cowgirls jersey. Get over yourselves Cowboys Golf Club staff! JUst my humble opinon.

“Great Golf in Grapevine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2009

On a week long family trip to Texas, this was a highlight of the trip for my husband. He is not a huge Cowboys fan, but, a huge fan of golf and he LOVED this course. After a few calls to the club house before scheduled day of play, I was surprised at the ease of picking any tee time any day, they were so wide open. We actually went the day before to check it out, thinking it might not be in very good condition. It was in great condition! It is a beautiful course. It is challenging and very playable. The club house is nice with memorabilia in the entrance. The Pro Shop is very nice, with all of the latest in golf attire, supplies, and lots of cool Cowboys stuff. My husband left with quite a few bags for himself and friends. We had lunch in the bar area of club house, typical clubhouse food. We had reserved play time with credit card, but, actually cancelled and rescheduled through conceirge at Gaylord and saved quite a bit, plus shuttled him to and from course. We intend to come back to this course for a weeknd get-away, it is within minutes of the Dallas/ Ft. Worth Airport and Grapevine Course, 20 minutes from new stadium. It would make a great golf getaway for groups or to kick off a game weekend. Plus, the first NFL course-- that's just cool!

“No course near comes close.”

Probably the most unique course in the metroplex. Beautiful course with dramatic elevation changes, great practice facilities and the friendliest people. Playing golf at the Cowboy's Club is quite a treat that everyone should experience...its my most enjoyable golfing experience EVER.
