“Good Food on Lake Joe Pool”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

This is a quaint little restaurant and bar located in the Sandra Lynn Marina in Grand Prairie. But it does have a strong local following, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights, when the bar offers live entertainment (try the "Big O" if enjoying the evening fair.)

This is a huge step up from the normal hamburger and hotdog fair that one normally encounters lakeside. A new offering, Seafood Gumbo, was very tasty, but a bit lean on the seafood. They used to offer the best ribs in Grand Prairie, but it wasn't on the menu on my last visit. But the menu is diverse enough to please everyone in the family.

A main attraction is its location on the dock and open air atmosphere. Not only can you enjoy the boats coming and going, but if you can get a seat overlooking the boat ramp on the east side, the sundry calamities of launching and landing make for some grat people watching moments.

This is the best place on Lake Joe Pool to dine.

“Beautiful Views. Decent Food. Bad Service”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

The view at the Oasis is beautiful. Being able to feed the ducks and fish is a bonus. The food is decent. But the service is bad... at least it was on our recent visit. There were lots of waiters, but getting them to bring silverware and napkins (long after our food arrived) was impossible. In fact, I went inside and took it off a table. I helped myself to the ketchup and hot sauce. In case, you ever need it when you go, it's to the left of the outside bar, in the cabinet. Once you realized you're not going to get good service, it's an okay place. The fried shrimp we ordered was great! But the best part about the Oasis is definitely the water. So if you keep that in mind, you'll have a good time!

“Very good.”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

I go to thd Oasis often. I acrually had the privilege of dinning there the same night the lady of the last review was there. How could I forget, they were so obnoxious and persistently rude. They made the experience for everyone sitting around their table horrible. Our server happened to be Parisa as well, and she was fantastic. She kept her cool when the lady was screaming in her face telling her that her designer watch cost more than her (the servers) car but that she wasn't going to pay for the whole plate of food she ate or grat. because she 'didn't like it'.

I highly recommend this place, just make sure you are seated away from large parties.

“HORRIBLE!!!!”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Parisa was our server for a party of 15, she was such a horrible server. We waited an extremely long time for our food none of our drinks were refilled and we had to keep calling her for things we needed. We all refused to pay the gratuity because she didn't deserve it and in speaking with the manager he was just as ignorant they called Grand Prairie Police to come out, that's a damn shame! I will tell any and everybody I know to never go there and waste your money or time. Again let me please stress, The Service And Experience Is Extremely Horrible!!!!!

“Good seafood and family dining”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

Not a stuffy restaurant, good for families, variety of good seafood on menu, fun, kind of loud but not obnoxiously so, big enough to hold large parties of diners
