Description: Hoffbrau Steaks was voted "one of Dallas' Best Chicken Fried Steak" by D Magazine. We are a family owned steak house, rustic and casual with a unique Texas atmosphere. We now proudly serve Premium Black Angus beef and an wide-ranging menu of chicken fried steaks, chicken, ribs, seafood, salads and burgers. We keep it Salt & Pepper Simple and make everything from scratch with love. Daily lunch specials are delicious and affordable. Large TV's are perfect for watching sports in our great bar. Come sample our extensive list of local, national and international beers in our fun bar. We love to cater for weddings, birthdays and office parties. Happy Hour is served from 4pm to 7pm Monday through Friday. Our quaint little town of Granbury is also home to the Granbury Opera House, built in the 1800's. Early to-mid 1800's German settlers, who helped develop the Hill Country of South Texas, also recreated their beloved "hoffbraus"or "beer gardens" where local townspeople, farmers and ranchers gathered to enjoy hearty meals and brewed beverages in a setting that was naturally casual yet humming with conversations and warm friendly service. What began as a "Hoffbrau" in South Texas truly was the origin of the Texas Hill Country Steakhouse... A tradition that our family has continued since opening Hoffbrau Steaks in 1978. Enjoy yourselves, our Texas hospitality... The great steaks and foods for which we are known. Many thanks, The Fogiel Family

Great location, easy in and out, standard menu, and they do have a few gluten-free items if anyone cares. Pleasant waitstaff, a little slow at times, attentive manager. Hard to beat their steaks, sides, and prices are reasonable.

Want a good steak?? Maybe some quail?? How about some fried peso's (jalapeno's)? This IS the place to go in Granbury!!! Might have to wait for a table if you go past 6:30 pm, but it is worth it!!! Try the stuffed quail, it is DELISH and easy on the hips! Their cobler is AWESOME!! Loved the one if Ft Worth so much I was thrilled when Granbury got one too! The staff is friendly and service is always good. This place is glad to see you when you walk in the door, serves a great meal, and wants you to return (can't say that about the other steakhouse in town)! And, your kids are welcome too!! Have tried just about everything on their menu, it is ALL good! Lunch or dinner, you will walk out full and happy, and probably a take home bag! Can't say enough good things about the staff and owners. Bottom line, if you want a good meal at a reasonable price, with good service, this IS the place you want to go!!!

My husband and I decided to give Hoffbrau in Granbury another try last night and we regretted that choice. I don't understand why we even had to wait a few minutes for a table, the food is average at best. The waitress chatted with the couple behind our booth for about 15 minutes while she FORGOT to bring us rolls that she had offered. Our sirloins were bland and tasteless. I had to send my salad back because it came out with the wrong dressing. I tried the "Famous Hoffbrau Steaks Vinaigrette" and it was okay but I don't know why it would be "Famous" as they list it, nothing to write home about for sure.
Like I said, we were giving them another chance, we had last visited Hoffbrau over a year ago and had not been back sooner because of the mediocre experience at that time.

If you want a better steak than Hoffbrau, just drive down the road to Cottonpatch, there's is better.

Salads are warm, steaks have no flavor, rude waiters and waitresses. Sign says family owned. If that's true then these people either haven't been there in some time or just don't care about the customer

All 4 of us had delicious food, great service, good drinks. We enjoyed the decor...screen doors on the ceiling and a shack look, but new and very clean. It's on a main road of shopping centers near hotels. We were traveling and were happy to find good reviews of this place on tripadvisor...a very good experience.
