We stayed 4 nights at this ranch in the famous chiefs cabin. Amazing views from the room. We Found the staff were very friendly and breakfast good. Fabulous infinity pool although I agree some umbrellas would be good. Excellent activities offered. The housekeeping was very poor even after asking twice for the room to be cleaned we were told that they had gone home and it was our fault for double locking the room which we didn't! The day before the room was only half cleaned! Disappointing when paying well over $200 a night. Would I go back yes and highly recommend the drive in, in nearby Graham. Brilliant. One more thing the bed was extremely uncomfortable and neither myself or my partner could sleep, we asked if we could be moved but were told that all the beds were the same, however we found the kids bed in the room also had a pull out so we slept in this and had a great nights sleep, good to know if you have the same problem in this room.

Room Tip: Stay in one of the cabins

I attended a Women's Retreat at the Ranch and wish I could have time to do more! The rooms, restaurant and other facilities were wonderful! Their attention to detail is above and beyond my expectations! Right down to the soap and bath products in the bathroom. We went on a trail ride our last afternoon and Jeremy, our horse guide was very patient and answered all our questions. He's a great teacher for those who don't know a lot about horses and made me feel comfortable in the saddle. The ride was great and view was amazing! Like I said before, I wish I could have done more like the hiking trails, archery, canoeing, etc. I will most definitely be back!!

Room Tip: I stayed in the Hotel and loved it... but I would really like to try the cabins. They looked amazin...

This was a great place to stay. Jay and Jeremy who run most of the activities were excellent. We rode horses three times and shot shotguns in between! It's hard to describe how helpful everyone was, they have perfected southern hospitality in a Western Texas ranch.

The rooms are well furnished and well kept and the on-site restaurant is excellent with the best steak and other dishes served in the restaurant at busy times and in the bar on quiet nights.

Young County is a dry county so head north on 16 past Graham to Newcastle for your takeout beer and wine.

Room Tip: The cabins are great, 16 is convenient for the pool.

A real taste of the Famous Southern Hospitality, beautiful location, great rooms. I stayed in one of the cabins and loved it. The view's are beautiful from the balcony of your own cabin. Shooting Skeet and Ridding Horses is worth the 23.5 hour journey from Sydney, Australia. I would do it again. Highly recommend it.

Had a company celebration at WildCatter and the place and people were great. The cabins are very nice and the scenery isn't to bad either. There are so many options from just relaxing looking over the country side to doing an Amazing Race. I would recommend WildCatter for anyone wanted to get out of the city and enjoy a little nature. The food was great too!

Room Tip: Go with the Cabin

We slipped out of Fort Worth for an overnight and a bit of "cowboy experience". The place was easy to find and clean as a whistle (extremely important to us). We stayed in one of the hotel rooms. Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. Had dinner at the steakhouse and it was wonderful. Went back for drinks later and chatted with the staff. Neither my wife nor I had been on a horse for many, many years, but we thoroughly enjoyed our group ride the next morning. This was certainly due to Brian and his staff. They made us feel comfortable and safe. We did not use the pool or any other activities. Highly recommend this place for a getaway. One thing they could not control was the weather, but it was beautiful. It was 80 degrees and not a cloud in the Texas sky.

My husband and I stayed here right before Thanksgiving on our way to S. Texas, and then again on our way home. It is a great place.........we had a "cabin" both times and it is decorated like you would expect ranches to be. A lot of historical photos and a book and DVD of the history of the area is in the room. Sitting on the porch in the rockers in the evening, listening to the coyotes, and enjoying the view is the highlight of our stay. The food served in the Steakhouse was excellent..........especially the steaks. The building with "hotel" rooms is under renovation but is expected to be completed by January 2012. A good place for families as well as couples.......there's lots of things for children to do. A little difficult to find but Mapquest has the directions correct.

Room Tip: All of the "cabins" are great.
