Our daughter's wedding was held here in october 2012. We had the ceremony under the large oak tree and many guests stayed at the cabins. I would highly recommend this for a simple and very affordable wedding venue. It was a very cold weekend (unusual for October but happens) and we could have had the ceremony in the reception room at Pelican's Landing, but my daughter really wanted the ceremony to be held outside. So the memorable ceremony was under the large oak tree near the landing strip. We enjoyed our weekend wedding events. The Pelican's Landing restaurant is great for all meals. We stayed in the deluxe cabins near by the landing strip. They were warm and comfortable, full kitchen. Bathrooms have showers, no bath. Overall, would come back. The beds were a bit worn and need replaced, but I would still go back. My husband has a bad back, so we couldn't make it more than two nights due to the need to replace the mattresses. It's comfortable. There is a nice trail to run or hike through the wooded area to the lake. Very comfortable and family friendly location. All of our family and friends (young and old) enjoyed the weekend.
