This great hang out in the middle of no where 1 1/2 from the Dallas/ Fort Worth is well worth the trip on a Sat/Sun afternoon.
Lots of cold beer a endless number of characters and some of the best BBQ in the world. If you are not into BBQ the burgers and steaks are great as well. Try the onion rings over the top good.

Set out side for the view and if not the inside of this place is a real treat for the eyes. All around good fun, the Loco Coyote is just off Hwy 67 through the town of Glen Rose TX., right on County Rd. 1004 just past the turn off to Fossil Rim Park.

Labor Day is upcoming and they will have live music starting at 5:00p.m. Sat. Bring your chair blanket kick back and enjoy.

We showed up at 1 on Sunday. Waited about an hour for the table and at least an hour for our food. Our server had to be flagged down to refill our drinks. In an hour wait for the food, we still didnt have silverware or ketchup when our food finally got there.

Drove for 1 ½ hours to eat at Loco Coyote, well worth the trip. This placed is put together with anything they could find, dirt floor with wood shavings, old picnic tables and benches. The bar opens to the outside with tables of spools and a mix of chairs. Outside seating built on the end of the building. Wonderful old Oak trees all around, and don’t forget the Outhouse. As for as the food, I had the ribs with fried potatoes, pinto (red) beans, Texas toast, onions and dill pickles. The ribs are right up there with the Railhead in Ft. Worth, it would be hard to find better, the only problem for me was that the fries were frozen. The wife had Brisket tacos, they were very good. This is one place you want to experience.

We were taken here for Sunday brunch as a treat and it certainly was. The place itself has so much character, there is even real sawdust on the floor and the toilets are made to look like old tin shacks. Everything however is perfectly clean. We were warned that the portions were huge and they certainly were, my husband and I shared a portion of three meats and we couldn't even finish it between us. Everything was extremely tender and the ribs just fell from the bone. Would totally recommend that you hunt out this place. Believe that it does get very busy so get there early.
