“How can one argue with Free! It was fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2010

Lots of big cool rocks to climb around on. The kids LOVED it. They thought it was really cool. You can't argue with free...

IT WAS CALLED "OAKLEY PARK" on our GPS.... Just in case you run into the same problem.

Small warning, be sure you wear good sneakers/shoes that are meant for climbing. I'd suggest toddler backpack carriers & a small first aid kit if you have kids. Scrapes are likely to occur....

But guys this was a BLAST for the kids. Have fun.

“Free!!!!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2010

Today we visited Big Rocks Park in and Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Texas. They are probably within 5-6 miles of each other. Out of both places my kids had the most fun here. Best of all it is free. They have a bunch of big rocks to climb around. Also there is a small river that runs next to the rocks. I saw some people fishing in the river. There appeared to be some good size fish in there. If I am in the area again I will be sure to bring my pole.

“Must See”

Just got back from a tour of the rocks! Awesome! There was a group of rc truck enthusiasts having a good time out there. Very scenic, right on the river so you get some good photo ops.

“Great stop for kids to run around and explore”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2010

Kids and some adults, like myself, enjoy jumping from rock to rock. The river water is shallow next to the rocks. It gets deeper near the dam, which is fun for the older kids that want to swim.

“Not much water during summer month but still fun”

Subj says it all. Wondering how it'll look like in spring or autumn. See pictures what it looks like at summer time
