“It was alright.”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

It went here my first time, it was okay, serive was fine, They only came up to us only twice the whole time so that was iffy.
Food was okay, I didn't like some of what I had, but I might try to see if they can make up for it if I go back one more time.

“Very, Very Good Greek Food”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

When you pull up to Plaka Greek Cafe it's not impressive from the outside. But once you get inside it's decorated nicely with a really homey feel to it. Even though you walk through a cafeteria style line the workers are very friendly and help lead you through the ordering process. The food displayed looked very fresh and nicely presented. The owner is wonderful with the customers and wants them to enjoy themselves. We tried a variety of things including the chicken, gyros, meatballs, fresh veggies and so much more. All of the food was top notch in flavor and they way it was cooked. The freshly made pitas were AWESOME and not be be missed. The only drawback on our experience at Plaka was that they gave you too much food!! We took it home and got another lunch / dinner out of the leftovers. Don't pass up a chance to go here.

“Great Food!”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

I love the food. Plaka is the place to go if you're craving Greek. Loved it. I've been there many times and have never ordered anything that wasn't delicious. Service is fast, food is always good. Location is good.

“Real Greek Food, Excellent Quality”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

If you don't know about it, you almost have to stumble upon Plaka by accident. The cafe is unassuming, off I-35 in Georgetown. However stop by on a Friday or Saturday night, you'll encounter a line almost out the door. Taste the food; you know why. They offer all Greek staples and favorites, and though it's already prepared, and you go in a line and order, it tastes very fresh. Everyone there is very friendly, and they even have a drive through if you're in a rush. Whether your just traveling on I-35 and need a quick stop for dinner, or are in Georgetown and want a really great meal out, Plaka is the place.

“Voted #1 Best of Georgetown 3 Years in a Row!”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

Not all Greek or Mediterranean food is the same - and this place sets the bar! You can taste the difference and know you are eating good, fresh and authentic food. The owner George is Greek and when you see Tino's in Austin, know it was originated from George! He has had several restaurants in the Austin area, wonderful Greek man that is a fantastic chef! My favorite is the Greek Chicken Salad and the Chicken Wrap - simple but good grief it's ridiculously good! Meatballs with rice and lemon soup are delicious - you just can't go wrong with anything on this menu. Be adventurous!
