Yes, this is Texas, not NY.
Still, with all the hype, they should be slightly better pizza.
In short, cheese, crust and sauce are good (slightly above average), but not outstanding, plus, like many local pizza places, inconsistent on ingredient amounts/proportions and cooking temp.
For a better NY style slice, try Luigi's in Frisco -#1 (if you don't mind the drive), or Siciliano's in Garland #2 (very close to Salis), or Eddy's in Plano --#3.

We had a great meal, great service and very reasonably priced. The menu is huge and varied. The wait staff made great recommendations We are visiting the area for a long weekend and will go back just to try something else. The chicken dishes are wonderful. The baked ziti is very good. The kids had a slice of pizza that was as big as their heads. My kids loved it too. They want all the credit for choosing it.

I love the Sali's salad and the fettucini alfredo is the best I've ever had!! It's super creamy. Can't go wrong eating here!

Pizza among the best in DFW. Fair prices. By the slice 1.45 for a big slice of cheese only 40 cents for each additional ingredient. Pastas are good too, cheese lasagna is great($5.95). Chicjen parm ($6.95) Most items under $9, most expensive is lobster ravioli at 12.95.

I have been eating here for many years. Better than anyone else around.
