This is a happening little spot along the sea wall with excellent service and food! The seafood was fresh-you get what you pay for. Try the Mac-n-cheese, homemade baked goodness! Don’t skip the bread pudding-enough to split and so good! Our waitress Jeanette (spelling?) was a sweet local that offered great recommendations during our stay. Glad we stopped!

The exterior looks like it might have been a Denny's in another life, but don't be fooled. The interior is tastefully decorated. The food? Wonderful! The service? Great. Value? Good, especially for the quality of the food.

We went for lunch and wanted some fresh seafood without mortgaging the home. The prices here were very reasonable. I had the fish tacos ($11.00), which were redfish, grilled to perfection and seasoned lightly. My husband had the Crabby Crab Cake Sliders (2 for $10.00). They come with fries. We also shared Shrimp DeJonge ($16.00), an appetizer. The shrimp was wonderful, and the dish was gluten free. It is seasoned with Dijon mustard, bread crumbs, white wine, and garlic butter. Actually, it is rich enough to be a meal for 1 person.

Give the locals a try, rather than opting for the "chain" restaurants. This one did not disappoint.

Stopped by on a Friday mid-afternoon in December. I had a bowl of gumbo and it was chocked full or shrimp and sausage. My husband had Oysters Boulevard and the gumbo. He thought they should have cut the oysters loose from the shell. He enjoyed them but they were messy.

I so wanted to LOVE this restaurant, based on other TripAdvisor reviews and after following them on Facebook; photos of the food looked fabulous! We visited for the very first time at mid afternoon on the Wednesday before Christmas, a relatively slow time. It seemed they would be able to really focus on the few customers, rather than being rushed and stretched to provide good service.
Well, unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The service was mediocre, the food was average, and the place didn’t seem scrupulously clean to me. We each had the combination dinner with shrimp/redfish/scallops, served with rice and green beans. The green beans were the best thing served; properly cooked crunchy-tender. I got French fries substituted for rice, as I don’t care for rice, and they were just above room temperature when they brought the plate to the table. The fries MIGHT have been good when they were hot; hard to tell. The shrimp were good, but the scallops were rubbery and seemed to be previously cooked; the redfish was a very dark and strong tasting filet, I’m not sure at all that it was even redfish. I ate parts of the filet, but it wasn’t very good. My husband’s redfish filet did look better, I will say, and he said it tasted OK.
If you are super picky about your seafood, I can’t honestly say I’d recommend this place. I hope this was an isolated bad day for them, but I’d go to the Landry’s down the street next time instead. I prefer more consistent seafood quality at $29 per entree serving.

Whether you go for a complete meal or just several starters, this is a great value-top quality and reasonable prices. Having been here five times, we had great service most of the time and always great foods.
