Loved the history of Josephine & Walter Gresham's former home and Josephine's artwork and decor. Disappointed much of its contents have been kept hidden away by the new ownership, also that the former kitchen has been turned into a gift shop as the kitchen has always been the hub of both old and new homes.

The museum on the second floor is very interesting. Lots of photos from the 1900 hurricane. And it's free!

This library offers so much history! The building is worth a visit all by itself! Nice reading areas, computer area, latest best sellers are available. But the jewel is the history room! Galveston is long on history and this is a good, cool spot to explore it at your fingertips!

On top of this being a library; there is a museum on the second floor which really focuses on the 1900 storm that wiped out the city!

One of the best libraries in the area, excellent staff, an comfortable seating an well laid out books for referance. Actually I had to escape the heat, as a Senior Citizen, an felt very welcome there, my room at Four Seasons on the Gulf had multi problems with AC unit, for three days, an the manager left me too suffer the heat, but the staff at the Rosenburg let me stay in out of the weather, an helped me to do some interesting things at the same time. Lord Bless, them
