We literally just checked out! So glad we found this little gem by the seawall. This was our second time coming to Galveston and we wanted to bring our dog along. This place was very pet friendly, not just the spacious backyard but the bowls and towels for your fur babies! They also have the kitchen stocked with cooking utensils, dishes, a charcoal grill in the backyard, and miscellaneous things you need around the house.
Really good location!
Only cons are the bedrooms and bathrooms dont have locks, it's an older home and it seems like the house shifted overtime and the locks no longer align. But it wasnt that big of a deal! And another thing, the fabric on the furniture and the rugs seems dated which makes it look a little dirty. I was hesitant to sit on it and walk around barefoot around the house.
All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and it was a great decision choosing this house! We plan on coming back!

Me, my husband, our 2 kids, my mom and our 2 boxers went to Galveston for the weekend and stayed at the Coronado Palms. We LOVED it! The house has so much character & was so comfortable. It is very pet friendly, which we really loved, and we will definitely be back!!!
We chose this site because it was pet-friendly. The backyard was fenced in and the front porch had a slide out barrier to keep your dogs on the porch with you while you enjoyed the wonderful outdoor breeze. The owners even stored pet dishes for your use. It was a great house, great amenities. The only drawback is that one neighbor complained about our dogs barking (which dogs will do occasionally) but we felt uneasy anytime we let the outside the house.

Beautiful hoe with a cottage feel. Mary, the owner greets you and walks you through her home assuring you that everything on her home is your to enjoy. Beautiful porch outside with secure privacy fencing for your pets. Mary greets you with bowls for your pets and you know they are as welcome as you are. The location is convenient to the beach, restaurants, and even though it is near the main sea walk Blvd it is very quiet. No need to pack any cooking utensils if you are inclined to cook. She has the place stocked with kitchen utensils, towels, washing laundry soap, beach toys, boogie board, bbq grill, charcoal, you name it. Free wifi also. Can you ask for anything more? I can't think of one single negative. I'll stay again.

We took our entire family of 6 with 2 large dogs, the house was large enough! The house was decorated wonderful, and close enough to the beach to walk! We will definitely be renting this house next year.

My husband and I with our two dogs stayed at Coronado Palms this February and had a wonderful time in spite of the somewhat chilly weather.
Mary and Lee's home is clean, inviting and comfortable -- truly dog friendly, no extra fees or ridiculous rules - Our dogs were as welcome as we were... in fact, dog blankets and bowls were provided! The yard is fully fenced, and the front porch is a lovely place to sit and relax with the dogs as well. It is an older home, with hardwood floors and a clawfoot tub in the bathroom, well maintained and again, very clean. The washer and dryer were excellent and very handy for a month long stay.
The dining room is comfortable to sit and eat, and there are linens and placemats provided. The queen size bed in the main bedroom is extremely comfortable. We didn't use the second bedroom, being just the two of us.
The location is excellent, one block from the Seawall and many restaurants and Happy Hours! It's about a ten minute drive to some excellent grocery stores to pick up your own food and cook in the well appointed kitchen.
To visit the more historic part of Galveston, it's only a ten minute drive in the other direction, and there are many bars, restaurants and a beautiful theatre. If you like to have a couple of drinks, it's only an $8 cab fare (tip extra) from the house to the Strand. Very convenient.
Mary and Lee are wonderful hosts, we called approximately 20 minutes before we arrived and Mary was at the house with keys and a short tour. She provided us with guest passes to some historic sites and a lovely bottle of wine. It was a great beginning to our stay, and when it was time to leave, it was a seamless handover as well. I completely recommend this house for families with or without pets.
