excellent service, food and atomosphere. We were so hungry when we arrived and the place was very busy! Our service was excellent and speedy.

We just visited Fish Tales for the third time in five years and once again, it was a nice experience. The food here is good (though not great), the atmosphere is pleasant and the service is decent. Upon arriving this time, we were told the wait was 25 minutes. After 10 minutes we were seated and our drink orders were taken. There were five of us and we tried many things on the menu, including 2 appetizers and several diffrent entrees. All were tasty and well prepared. Other reviewers have mentioned the prices, but I found it to be very reasonable, epsecially compared with comparable restaurants in "touristy" areas. We had dinner for 5 (with drinks for 2) for just over $100. If this is what you consider spendy, you either don't get out much or you do some extremely frugal dining out. Either way, live a little and check out Fish Tales during your next visit to Galveston.

We've been to Fish Tales now 3 times in the last 5 years, twice as a couple and most recently with 3 of our kids. The food has been consistently good (though not great) and our kids seemed to enjoy it. Our service was a little sketchy this time - think the server may have been new and/or inexperienced. Either way, it didn't detract from a nice evening. My husband and I split the dozen peel and eat shrimp which were very fresh and we also had the shrimp queso, which even our non-seafood loving kids enjoyed. We all tried different things, from the top sirloin to the clam chowder, and all were well prepared. Other reviewers have mentioned the prices, but compared to other restaurants in more "touristy" locations, this one is very reasonable. We had dinner for 5 with 2 appetizers and my husband and I each had a couple of drinks and our bill was just over $100. If you think this is expensive for a dinner for 5, well, you either don't get out much or you are eating at really cheap places. Live a little and head over to Fish Tales next time you're in Galveston. You might not be blown away, but you won't be disappointed.

I'd agree with previous reviewers that it can be a bit pricey. We had a large group (8), with one couple splitting a meal, another that just ordered a side, and another that just got a sandwich. The bill with tip came close to $200. Most seafood entrees were around $20 or more and I expected a larger selection of seafood meals. Everyone was happy with their order and our waitress was very attentive. Three of us had the Redfish and it was tasty. Good location across from the pier with all the rides. They will validate your parking ticket for the big lot next to it for the first 3 hours if you spend over $25 (I'm pretty sure about that amount, but not positive).

This is right accross the street from the amusement park. My wife had a burger that was previously frozen. not very good. I had the crawfish paltter. it was ok. Our server could use some tips on how to give better service. That would results in better tips.
