Went to the Mosquito for breakfast Sunday morning. You walk up to the counter and place your order and they bring it to your table. There are not as many choices for breakfast or lunch but all the selections are quality with the extra touches. We ordered one pancake to split in addition to our meals and it was topped with strawberries and bananas. I had the breakfast bowl and it was great-included spinach (bonus)! The potatoes weren't as good as The Sunflower but everything else was much better. Would definitely return.

Their eggs benedict are delicious, the bacon is thick, tasty and crunchy and the coffee selection is good. Don't forget to have some of their famous fresh squeezed orange juice mimosas. Yum!

Great atmosphere. It's an old house converted to a cafe. Seems like the owners might live there. Casual atmosphere. Lots of character and home style feel. Great food, and menu.

Mosquito Cafe has a number of good reviews here on Trip Advisor and I must say that it lives up to its reputation. My wife and I were certainly pleased with our breakfast experience there. We arrived fairly early, just after 8AM on a Saturday and there were only a few folks in line. 15 minutes later the line was out the door but it moves fast so it kind of came and went during the course of our meal.

II had the pancakes and sausage links and they were some of the best I've had and made for a really full meal. My wife had the Crustless Quiche and she said it was the best quiche she's ever eaten and one of the best breakfast meals she's had.

We ate indoors with it being August so did not see the outdoor dining area. The interior is really nice and provides a warm comfortable feeling. The staff is friendly and courteous, the facility seems to be run very efficiently. We WILL be returning on our next visit to Galveston. That would have been this weekend but unfortunately I suffered an ankle injury that requires surgery so we had to cancel and we'll have to wait a while for another meal at the Mosquito Cafe.

This was the highlight of our Galveston trip. Both kids meals and adult entrees were excellent. The baked goods available for dessert were perfect. Highly recommend.
