We were in Galveston for the weekend to attend a wedding. During the day we wanted some Italian food and made our way down to Mario's Seawall Restaurant. We were seated right away and were served by a very nice young lady who was both friendly and knew the menus quite well. I got my usual Fetticani Alfredo and the wife got a seafood dish. Both came out of the kitchen quickly and were very good. Grab a dessert to go and we were on our way...

Ashley was great, food was good and the atmosphere was nice. Everything was home made... I suggest the crispy artichokes.

My family and I travel to Galveston once or twice every year, and we make a point to always eat at Mario's at least one night of our stay. Love it. Great pasta, and yummy desserts! The staff is very friendly, quick and the view of the gulf is amazing!

This place was awful. During a busy weekend we should have known better when we walked in and the place was nearly empty. Tried ordering an absolut martini to start things off. The waitress did not understand what a martini was and kept asking if it was vodka. We told her yes, an absolut vodka martini. She comes back with a glass of vodka! She asked if it was right and if not she would try to fix it. How can you explain what a martini is and how to make it? That is just nuts. Then they proceeded to seat a couple with a screaming baby right behind us despite the restaurant being empty. About 10 minutes later they come back and say they were out of the appetizer we ordered. At that point we decided to cut our losses and walk out. There are too many places to eat in Galveston to settle for a place like this! Do yourself a favor and go to Gaido's instead. It was fantastic there.

My wife and I were visiting Galveston for the weekend and wanted to find a good pizza place. To our dismay we ignored the many warnings about the poor service at this place. We waited 30 minutes for a table, and then another 10 minutes for a waiter and only got served because we flagged down another waiter and then the manager. Fearing the worst we ordered our food at the same time as the drinks. It took the waiter 4 trips to get the drinks right (no glass, hot glass, no ice, no straw). I waited 40 minutes for a salad before the waiter announced they were out of romaine! The manager offered a drink on the house which never arrived until we reminded the waiter again. My pizza had a wet (not soggy, wet) bottom.
