We arrived on the Island after a very long trip, hungry and ready for a good steak and seafood. We have visited Galveston many times and had never been to the Flamingo's. We thought it looked nice and when we got to the door it actually had a "tripadvisor" sticker logo on the door. The atmosphere was a little odd for a steak and seafood place, but we were there for the food not the decorations. Our waitress was very outgoing but slow - at the end of our meal I finally had to go find her for our ticket. We ordered a dz. raw oysters they were o.k.. My husband ordered a T-bone that the menu said was fire grilled, I ordered the fish and shrimp platter. Upon arrival of our food we were surprised at my husbands steak. It was less then a half inch thick, had no grill marks on it and tasted like soy sauce and was super salty. His potatoes were burnt black. Our bill was around $70.00. I would not recommend this place to anyone, we left and went to Krogers and bought a sandwich.
