We went to the pier on the Saturday before July 4th so we expected it to be crowded. The pier opens at 11 am and costs $10. We paid the money to park across the steeet, and paid to get onto the pier. So, without even doing or seeing anything, we have spent $30. No big deal, if we were to get to see and do things and have some fun. We expected lots of people, however, this place was a ghost town. The little pier was deserted. Only a few other people were there. We walked to the end of the pier, past several bored employees, and took a few photos. Sadly, the highlight of the pier was watching the pelicans searching for food in the ocean. We turned back around and left the sad looking pier behind. Went to the Boardwalk in Kemah. Much much better experience.
