“Expensive and boring”

Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Why pay for amusement park prices for 5 rides? We paid to get in, and found only 2 rides suitable for kids. Everything else in there also costs a fortune. We were done in 20 minutes and left. Lame! What a waste of money!

My daughter is less than 36 inch, so she cannot ride anything. She still enjoyed watching them. We had a dinner at the restaurant there. It was clean, people were friendly, food was good. My daughter wants visit there again.

lots of fun rides to entertain the kids. We enjoyed our afternoon of carousel-ing, rollercoastering, and getting dizzy in the tea-cups. The Iron-shark was a blast!

had a good time, kids did the rides. Husband and I didn't. Weather was kind of cool the night we went but had fun regardless. Just didn't do the log ride. Liked that they charged a walk on fee. Keeps the kids out who just want to hang and cause trouble. Lots of security. Wasn't too crowed the night we were there because of the cool temps but the next night was much warmer and it looked packed from the street. Not alot of rides so large crowds could cause long lines. Didn't eat at the pier so no comment on food. Was fun for the evening.
