Our family celebrated our grandson's 21st birthday at this establishment the end of July (his choice).
This restaurant is located on top of a pier along the seawall in Galveston. It is on the west end (west of 61st Street) and stands above the beach and into the Gulf. It involves the climbing of stairs and being a beach establishment, is very rustic. The windows open fully to allow the salt air to blow through. There are also seats under umbrellas on the deck.
Parking is on the seawall, which during busy times can involve some walking. Just this month (July) the city has added a charge for parking on the seawall .,. dollar for the each of the first 8 hours or $8 for all day. This is done on your smart phone. A season parking ticket is $25. A meter maid scans your vehicle license tag to see if you are paid.
The hamburgers are great! Their signature burger is the bacon and egg. Most burgers run $9-$11 dollars. Nonalcoholic drink and a side add about $4. There is a full service bar. Members of the family ordered other items than burger, but were not as satisfied with the seafood. There are much better places on the island. But burgers and relaxing .. this is a great place!
There is a gift shop on the pier lever .. standard fare for any beach.
