“Behold Beauty " A Texas Treasure "”

I Toured the Palace 3 or 5 times over the years and Lover her more and more each time. If your visiting Galveston, Texas this stately mansion is a must see. The home has withstood every Hurricane to hit the Island since it was built over 100 years ago. If you love victorian architecture you will truely love this Texas Treasure for sure.

“Enjoyed the self guided tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

The home is gorgeous and filled with history. It was built with the finest materials of its day and it shows. The tour takes about an hour, and is well worth it. If you are a fan of architecture or history you should head on over!

“Great self-guided tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

This house wasn't as well-restored as some others I have been through, and there isn't a ton of furniture or artifacts, but the home was truly beautiful and I really appreciated that it was a self-guided tour. You can sign up for a group tour, but we just did the self-guided audio tour. That was nice because you could go at your own pace and really see what you wanted to see. There were no roped off areas so you are free to roam.

Go in the off season and see this amazing home. The craftmanship and architectural touches are ahead of their time. Don't miss the gift shop.
