Love the flavor and consistency of this Gumbo. Very few pieces of Okra. The smaller bowl size is huge. Nice island ambience with large windows. What more can I say?

Went for lunch and had ceviche and the lunch special. The serving was enough for two and we took some home. The food quality at Black Pearl is consistently excellent and the service is also very good. The food is quickly served for the lunch crowd.

Great ambience, great service and great food. What more could you want.
This is always a regular stop when we go to Galveston. The selection is really good and the food is plentiful and great quality.
I never miss it.

Visted with a group of about 10 and they took a while to get us seated, ordered the gumbo and had to send it back because it tasted horrible, the gator on the other hand was really good.

A bit hard to find, on a corner in the Strand, but worth looking for. Oysters were fine, ceviche fresh and tasty, shrimp excellent (especially in their NOLA-style salad) and the side of fried okra or onion rings worth a little bit of a wait. Try their muffaleta even.
