The food here was unremarkable. Salads, while fresh tasting, were served with routine dressings that tasted industrial (like it came out of a bottle). The main problem was that we observed the person wrapping the silverware in the table napkins handling the eating surface of every utensil wirh an ungloved hand. We did mention this to the owner who said that they would rewash all the utensils. Pretty sure that i won't be going back.

We were trying to decide where to eat one Friday evening and wanted something that was within our usual walking area and the Black Pearl was recommended by out neighbor. We strolled over without a reservation and we were happily greeted and sat right away.
We went straight for the raw oysters...they were great and we were amazed about how big they were! We gobbled them down and ordered another dozen. After that we decided just to share a dinner. We got a salad and the fish tacos. both were excellent and the portions were plentiful to say the least.
The place got a little busier and ended up with a vibe little vibe going at the bar. The crowd there were having fun but not loud and disrespectful to us guests that were besides them in the dining room.
We were ask if we wanted a dessert but were more than full on the delicious food we just ate...maybe next time we will save some room, it sure looked good.

No oysters - what?!? We were told there were no oysters because of the storm. The hurricane was over a week ago and no other oysters to be found, huh? So we turned to what was remaining - fried calimari (bland tomato side sauce), fried fish, fried crab cakes... Don't really care for fried foods. One bright spot, the house Sauvignon Blanc was surprisingly tasty.

We found this place by accident. It is very laid back and if you like oysters you can't go wrong. Also, my husband (who will not touch an oyster) was very happy with his steak.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. We started with calamari. It was tasty, well seasoned with a good marinara on the side. The dinner salads were better than the average dinner salad. The green beans that came with my meal were crisp and lightly seasoned with onion and garlic. My husband ordered the seafood platter. It came with 6 fried shrimp, 5 oysters and fish. He enjoyed every bite. I ordered the stuffed flounder. Much to my surprise, I got a whole fish. Yikes. The crab and shrimp stuffing was really good. We were way to full to get dessert.
