It is a quick hour or two stop but inside is loaded with information on the history of oil rigs. It is almost to the point of information overload.

There are alot of great scale models of various ships and oil rigs that must have took months each to complete.

Walking on the platform where the drilling tower is gives a sense of how big this oil rig was. Even though this was a smaller one it is still very large.

Take the time and drop by.

My family actually really enjoyed this museum. We've been twice with our six year old son. The one major critique I have is that it is biased, so keep that in mind. For example, the display about old oilfield trash becoming an "artificial reef" to support sea life was a bit of a stretch. I mean, really?! And there was much glorification of plastics, but not much talk of how consumers should, well, consume less of them. All that said, it's still a fascinating place, I just wish it were more balanced.

We enjoyed this museum! Very informative and self explanatory,. Great place to visit with school age children. I learned a lot about oil rigs, that I did not know. Very well laid out and easy to access the displays.

Great way to learn about the offshore drilling industry, we own stocks in some of these companies and now understand much better about what they do! Great exhibits, good exercise with the stairs. Senior rate is well worth it and it starts at 55+! Nice location to take in the Elissa, Seaport Museum and lunch at Olympia Grill.
