Description: Opened in January 1998 by Jorge and Antonio Oyervides and a friend, Frank Diaz, Salsas Mexican & Seafood Restaurant is their first restaurant, though the three have been in the restaurant business for more than 24 years. Salsas is located at 4604 Seawall Boulevard - and features plenty of parking, a breathtaking Gulf view from our enormous outdoor patio, and beautiful sunshine. Our fine Mexican restaurant is bright, clean and colorful. Each table features two tantalizingly-different salsas, along with crispy, light tortilla chips. The menu offers traditional Mexican dishes like chicken or beef fajitas, enchiladas and burritos, plus some not-so-traditional platters such as seafood with a south-of-the-border flair. We invite you to savor your favorite dish and enjoy our frothy, refreshing margaritas. Happy Hour is Monday thru Friday from 3pm to 7pm. Salsas offers a daily Lunch Special from 11am to 3pm Monday thru Friday. Pickup orders are welcomed; simply call ahead. We look forward to serving your entire family!Salsa's Mexican Restaurant offers a breathtaking Gulf view from our enormous outdoor patio, and beautiful sunshine. Enjoy our colorful, delicious Mexican food along with a frothy, refreshing margarita.

Came back to Galveston 2 years later and were very happy to see that this restaurant is still here. It was just as good as we remembered it 2 years ago. The unending fresh chips and salsa were to die for. Never had creamy, thick salsa, both red and green, like this anywhere else and we've been around. Could have made a meal of this but also ordered the fish tacos which were stupendous with filets of broiled fish, very fresh and tasty. Then we had the red sage burrito with beef which was yummy. We had a carafe of red sangria which was sweet with peach and other nectars in it. We will have a hard time keeping ourselves away from this restaurant tomorrow night. Can't understand the negative reviews i have read. a place to remember.

and friendly waitstaff. But the food is mediocre. I would
go back for drinks and perhaps an appetizer but not dinner.
There are too many better Mexican places in the great state
of Texas.

One word - YUMMY! this is the best hands down - along the Seawall St. in the area. Food is delicious, hot and delicious; service is good and friendly, we tried 2 others along this stretch and Salsa's is the best. In fact, we went there twice because it was so good (something we NEVER do unless a place is worth returning to). You will not regret it!

Do not get the seafood. Not that good and not worth the price. Salsa's were bland and not that good. Beers were very cold...that was good.

This place has some of the best food in Galveston!!
Some of our favorites are the fish tacos and the chips and salsa! :-) The staff are sooo nice and the great Gulf veiw just adds to it all! This great place is still open after Hurricane Ike. Salsas: a Must for all mexican food lovers!!! ;-)
