This tour takes about an hour and involves standing at different stations around the ship Elissa, I found the tour very interesting and informative. The stories of the captain and crew made it easy to imagine what it was like to sail on the ship

We really enjoyed the tour of the ship. Be sure and get the audio handset included with the entrance fee. It gives you so much more information and history than just the displays on the ship. Read the displays too though because a lot of the displays tell things that the audio tour doesn't.

The museum is small but interesting (and included in the reasonable cost), and if your ancestors entered the US via Galveston, you can do a computer search of the records if all those who entered here.

This ship is huge. Super interesting. Able to walk around on and go down below deck. Get your picture taken behind the ships
wheel.

This tour consist of the museum inside of the building and the ship. The inside tour is not worth much at all. Very little to see and not very interesting. They should have had more information on the immigration into the Galveston area to make this section more interesting. The self guided tour of the ship was very good. I think a lot more can be done to make this a much better tour, but the money goes to support maintain the ship, so it was worth it. I would only recommended this to someone who really enjoys ships and history of sea travel.

Well maintained and beautiful. A living museum. Not handicapped accessible, however, lots of stairs to climb. Museum inside the building is fair, but the ship is very nice. Also an excellent gift shop.
