Spring Break some places on the Strand were celebrating St Patricks Day in a wild and rowdy way. It was not the best place for young children in our opinion. We love many of the shops and found the people running them to be helpful and friendly.

Lots of shops and restaurants. We loved La King confectionary! Yummy ice cream and you can watch them make taffy right there. Definately stop by there if you have kids!

Not much there. Most buildings empty. The old buildings were lovely look at. The shops are only opens few days a week and not very long.

This is the historic downtown area full of shops and restaurants. This can be very crowded when cruise ships are in port. Otherwise it's quite a bit more peaceful, and there are some really good restaurants.
